Vela is an iOS app by Galizia that helps you capture and shape ideas with AI. This policy explains what data is processed and why. It is written to describe how the product actually works.
1. Who we are
Galizia is the data controller for Vela. Email: [email protected].
2. No account
Vela does not require an account, name, or email to use the app. We identify an installation with a random identifier stored in the device Keychain so we can apply credits and protect the service.
3. Data on your device
Your ideas, tags, and related content are stored locally with Apple SwiftData. Language, appearance, and iCloud-sync preferences are also stored on the device.
4. iCloud
If iCloud Sync is on, your ideas may sync across your Apple devices through iCloud / CloudKit. Apple processes that data under Apple’s terms. You can turn sync off in Settings; Vela restarts so the change can take effect.
5. Data processed on our servers
When you use Refine, Explore, or Musa:
- The text you send is transmitted to
vela-api.galizia.euand forwarded to a large-language-model provider to generate a response. - We store an install identifier, credit balance, and App Store purchase-verification records needed to run the service.
- We may keep technical logs (errors, usage counts) to operate and secure the service.
Vela does not keep a copy of your idea library on our servers. AI request content is processed to fulfil the request.
6. Purchases
Credit packs are sold through Apple. Apple processes payment. We receive a signed receipt so we can add credits. We do not receive your card number.
7. Why we process data
To provide the app, run AI features, enforce credits, keep the service reliable, and respond if you contact support.
8. Retention
Device data remains until you delete it or uninstall the app. Server-side identity and credit records are kept while needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations.
9. Your rights
If the GDPR or similar laws apply, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection, and you may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact [email protected].
10. Children
Vela is not directed at children under 16.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top will change when we do.
